Fully compatible with the latest Nikon digital and film SLR cameras, the SB-600 is positioned to be the mid range flash in the Speedlight line-up. The flash features i-TTL control as part of the new Creative Lighting System (CLS), being introduced with the D2H digital SLR camera.
The new i-TTL system supports Advanced Wireless Lighting and versatile functions for up to four groups of Speedlights, with 3 remote i-TTL speedlight groups controlled through the master SB-800 or with the "Commander" function on the D70s, D70, and D200 cameras. i-TTL Balanced Fill-Flash control employs Nikon's Advanced Data Communication system to introduce an improved method for the monitor pre-flash and wireless operation that marks an evolution in higher precision over Nikon's acclaimed D-TTL Balanced Fill-Flash control system and forms the core of the new Creative Lighting System.

They did it again. A perfect flash. Works well with my Nikon D50 and D70. I have combined this flash with the SB 800 to form the most amazing team. :)

A nice flash. Wish it were a bit stronger. Using it on a D200. It cannot keep up with my 300mm lens. ? Please call me with any suggestions. Thank you

This flash is very good. The only flaw is the delay I am experiencing in Automatic mode at iso 400 with a D80. There is a work around and I only have this issue in portrait mode. Besides that, it flashes exceptionally well, has good recycling speed, and takes a good amount of shots per set of batteries.

good flash over all but when focused automaticly it flashes before the picture is even taken.
